An Inward Ride Retreat For Men

Join me In this newly designed Spring Inward Ride residential retreat in scenic Ojai, California. In our safe and stimulating group environment, you will whet your emotional intelligence as you develop confidence and trust in your feelings and inner wisdom. We will clarify and cultivate safety, ease, and intimacy in the presence of other men. We will refine our communication skills and our ability to understand self and others in a profound way. This intimate, exclusive retreat is reserved for a maximum of ten participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Together, we will deepen our practice of speaking clearly and vulnerably with the goal of maximizing comprehension, intimacy, and alignment. Honesty and vulnerability are cultivated and strengthened, and a sense of freedom, connection, and intimacy ensue.
Our small group – limited to a maximum of ten participants, plus myself – will meet in several sessions during this prolonged weekend. Everyone will have time to participate and be supported in their most pressing issues, the stuff of life: relationships/intimacy, feeling stuck, loneliness, making new friends later in life, creativity, career path, confusion, communication, grief, etc. In our sessions, we will learn practical tools that improve the quality of our lives. When we come together with an aligned intention, the results are profound.
I often see in my practice how sensitive men tend to gravitate toward women. They feel safe and understood by them. This retreat intends to extend that comfort zone to fellow men.
Every participant will be invited to share something personal as a gift to the group in the Saturday evening session. This can be a song, poem, writing, singing, performance, skit, etc.

THE GROUNDS
A peaceful panoramic 23-acre organic mountain avocado and citrus farm with fresh aromatic air in a mild microclimate. Magnificent large oaks and abundant chaparral.
Private hikes and a trail with views of the Ojai Valley and Matilija Canyon. The trail reaches into the mountains where the Chumash Indians established their sacred sites. (Hiking boots and long pants are advised.)
A 6-person ozonated hot tub situated on a beautiful scenic upper deck.
Located five miles from downtown Ojai, yet right in nature.
THE HOUSE
A two-story 3,000+ sqft house with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms plus a 500 sqft studio with private entrance, bath and kitchenette, and two outdoor hot showers.
Indoor wood fireplace. Private 20,000 sqft garden area with lounge chairs, hammocks, a patio sleeper couch with netting, benches, a fire pit, two eating areas, and a ping pong table.

RETREAT FEE OPTIONS
A. $1,850.00. Includes retreat sessions, a private studio with its own entrance and drive-up parking space, a private bath, a private kitchenette, and all meals.
B. $1,750.00. Includes retreat sessions, a private room with a private bath, and all meals.
C. $1,550.00. Includes retreat sessions, private room with shared bath, and all meals.
D. $1,350.00. Includes retreat sessions, shared room and bath, and all meals.Spots available: Ten, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Open to: Priority given to Inward Ride individual clients, current and former Inward Ride group participants.

PAYMENT
Payment must be made in full at the time of registration to secure your spot via Zelle, Venmo, or by Check. Credit Cards are accepted, too; please add 3.1% to the retreat total for the percentage charged by the credit card processing company for Visa/MC and 3.5% for Amex.
If you are concerned about having to cancel your attendance and are traveling from afar, we strongly encourage protecting your investment by purchasing trip cancellation insurance coverage that includes “cancel for any reason”.
TERMS
Cancellation:
If we cancel the retreat, we will offer options of what is available (refund or transfer).
If the whole retreat switches to an online retreat due to travel limitations, we will move your registration to this option or give you a refund.
Because we have committed funds to the retreat center:
If you cancel by March 23, 2024, we will refund 75%, with a cancellation fee of 25%.
If you cancel after March 23, 2024, and IF we are able to fill your space, we will refund 75%, and apply a cancellation fee of 25%. (If we are not able to fill your space, then no refund will be available.)
If you are able to purchase trip cancellation coverage, please check your policy that our non-refundable charges are covered.
Transfers:
No transfers between retreats, trainings, and/or workshops except as outlined above.
No transfers of registrations between attendees.
Refunds:
No refunds will be made for failure to attend or failure to complete the retreat.
All refunds will be processed within 2 weeks following the retreat.

About Inward Ride Groups

I created the Inward Ride Groups (then called The Connection Series) in April of 2020, in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the goal of supporting and empowering individuals during those trying times.
The group meets weekly for one hour and thirty minutes during seven weeks. It has a maximum of six people - plus myself. Some of the themes covered are intimacy, loneliness, creativity, procrastination, career choices, feeling stuck, personal integrity, the importance of grieving, and conscious relationships.
The work is experiential and pragmatic. In a safe and dynamic environment, I teach how to make life choices based on inner wisdom - rather than conditioning - , how to recognize and honor one’s deep needs and core values. The work is substantiated by scientific research and tried and true collective and personal experience. See the Group Testimonials to learn about the experience of previous and current group members.

Members are individuals with an interest in legitimate transformation over time. They are open and curious and come from all walks of life. Ages have varied from 21 to 68. We've had participants from several countries, joining in from Europe, Asia, Oceania, North, and South America.

Yes. Although this work isn’t age-specific, it requires a certain level of maturity, self-awareness, and commitment. Hence, the minimum age is eighteen. The youngest person to participate thus far in an Inward Ride Group was 21.

Normally six. I always announce, with each new group formed, the maximum number of participants in that group.
